Millennium Fellowship Project: SDG 5- Gender Equality
Secondary schools in Ibadan city were gone to to give talks and cover topics such as breaking gender stereotypes, respect, consent and shared leadership. The goal of the project is to raise a generation of young people who see equality as normal and not exceptional. My target audience were young children from age 10
About the Millennium Fellow
Victoria Oladeji is a young woman raised in a small town in Oyo state, Nigeria. Growing up, she would come to learn from reading books that life is way beyond the one she knows. That sometimes women could get pushed aside not because of they are incompetent or not as brilliant as their male counterparts but simply because they are women. This drove Victoria's passion to try and spread the gospel, let women know of their power and fully embrace femininity. Because together and individually, she believes women are capable of so much more
