Millennium Fellowship Project: Project MANAS
Project MANAS is a student-led mental well-being initiative at IIT Madras designed to address the rising mental health challenges across academic environments. Initiated in August 2025, the project builds a campus-wide culture of empathy, resilience, and early help-seeking through interactive workshops, peer-support systems, awareness campaigns, and creative therapeutic interventions.
About the Millennium Fellow
Akshita Ananda is a curious, creative, and bright student from Varanasi, India, currently pursuing her undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Throughout her school years, she has consistently excelled academically while also exploring diverse interests that shaped her passion for innovation and social impact. At IIT Madras, Akshita has engaged in projects spanning sustainability, technology, and entrepreneurship, reflecting her drive to solve real-world challenges. She aspires to build a career where she can integrate creativity, research, and leadership to make meaningful contributions to society.
