United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Education in rural areas for unprivileged students

I visited some of the rural areas to identify the areas in which the help is required for the students and why are they not able to get that help right now. And also tried to understand their limitations and challenges(like the staff, timings, etc...) Identified some critical points like the teaching staff are not upto the mark and timings are not taken seriously by the students, etc...

About the Millennium Fellow

Alige Dhanraj is a Medical Sciences & Engineering student at IIT Madras committed to advancing sustainable development through technology and social innovation. As General Secretary and Project Manager, he has led initiatives improving resource efficiency, cutting operational waste, and enhancing community well-being for 380+ residents. His entrepreneurial ventures, including an API-driven event management platform and healthcare innovations, align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals by promoting equitable access, operational efficiency, and environmental responsibility. A McKinsey Forward alumnus, Dhanraj aspires to scale impactful solutions that address global challenges in health, infrastructure, and sustainable urban living.
