" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers the rare chance to merge innovation with empathy — turning ideas into action that uplifts communities and advances the Sustainable Development Goals. I do the work I do because I believe technology is most powerful when it serves people. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mind Matters

College can be tough. Between academics, pressure, and just growing up, students often go through a lot—but we rarely talk about it. Mind Matters is my effort to make conversations around mental health more open and normal on campus. I’ll be running chill, non-preachy awareness campaigns, putting up posters with relatable messages, organizing stress-relief sessions, and collaborating with our counseling center to make support feel more approachable. It’s not about huge events—it’s about small, steady nudges that remind people they’are not alone, and it’s okay to reach out.

About the Millennium Fellow

I am an undergraduate at IIT Madras, passionate about using technology, research, and community engagement to create meaningful impact. My academic journey has been deeply interdisciplinary — spanning mechanical engineering, aerospace, computational fluid dynamics, AI, cybersecurity, and blockchain applications — while my extracurricular involvement has kept me grounded in social and community-based initiatives. I have led and contributed to projects involving controller design, AI-powered blockchain analytics, and CFD simulations, alongside completing MIT edX coursework in machine learning and deep learning. I actively seek opportunities for cross-cultural and global collaboration. Beyond academics, I am now part of the MITR team at IIT Madras, where I contribute to peer support and mental health awareness on campus. This role has strengthened my empathy, communication skills, and dedication to improving student well-being. I aspire to use the Millennium Fellowship platform to integrate my technical expertise with community-driven solutions, advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals — particularly in health & well-being, quality education, and innovation for sustainable development.
