" I want to make this world a better place and impact change and collaboration around the world. It has been my dream to contribute to the cause of equal rights since I was a child and I believe that the Millennium Fellowship will help me achieve that through creativity and collaboration. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Safe Haven Project

This will basically be a project to educate women and girls about domestic violence and make them aware of their legal rights when faced by such violence and give them a way out. The project, in the long rub looks at making domestic violence shelters in India and help all those women and young girls who face domestic violence in India in the form of mental ore physical harassment. We would like to establish a a safe space where we can provide these women a way to help themselves and help denormalise violence against women in India. The project would be a three prong project where the first part would focus on legal awareness and destigmatisation, the second part would focus on education for all to denormalise violence against women and the third part would be to publish the awareness and awareness programmes as a blog so that all the information collected would be there for everyone to see and also there is strength in number so if more women know about each other and that this project is there for them then they will be willing to seek help and make a different choice for themselves and choose right.
