" I believe real change starts with action. I'm excited to work with passionate people from around the world to create solutions that protect our environment, promote health, and empower communities. My journey in environmental science, design, and sports has taught me the value of discipline, creativity, and teamwork and these qualities I want to bring to projects that make a lasting impact "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Blurred Boundaries Between Humans and Street Animals
This initiative focuses on exploring how people in Dhaka view and treat street animals, particularly dogs, cats, and birds. It also examines how factors such as age, gender, culture, and education influence these attitudes. The project aims to build empathy, awareness, and responsible behavior toward street animals, emphasizing their role in maintaining urban environmental balance.
By conducting surveys and interviews in two diverse neighborhoods, Khilgaon and Mirpur, the research gathers insights into the social and cultural dynamics that shape human–animal relationships in city life. The findings aim to support public awareness campaigns, guide future policy development, and promote sustainable and inclusive urban planning where animals are recognized as part of the ecosystem.
The initiative directly contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 15 (Life on Land) by encouraging humane, safe, and environmentally responsible coexistence.
