Millennium Fellowship Project: Human Rights Implications of Pollution in Dhaka Slums
This project will consider how waste mismanagement and pollution in the slum areas of Dhaka have created severe human rights challenges for climate-displaced persons. It applies field-based case studies and community engagement to document health, environmental, and social impacts emanating from poor waste management. This project intends to raise awareness on environmental justice, advocate for the rights of displaced persons, and put forward sustainable policy recommendations that may help in improving living conditions and promote a cleaner, safer Dhaka.
