Millennium Fellowship Project: NEER - Nurturing Earth's Essential Resources
WHAT IS PROJECT NEER ??
NEER- Nurturing Earth's Essential Resource It is a student led initiative aimed at addressing water conservation, waterborne diseases and lack of awareness around sustainable water use, especially in urban cities like Bengaluru. Despite receiving
significant rainfall, Bengaluru faces rapid groundwater depletion due to unchecked. Urbanization and the loss of traditional water recharge systems. At the same time, waterborne diseases like cholera and typhoid are rising because of poor water quality and Sanitation.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ruchir Vats is a passionate and driven student of Psychology, Sociology and Economics at Jain (Deemed-to-be University). From an early age, he has shown a deep commitment to learning, personal growth, and contributing positively to his community. Known for his enthusiasm, creativity, and leadership skills, Ruchir has actively participated in various initiatives, projects, and events that reflect their dedication to making a meaningful difference. Being selected for the Millennium Fellowship is a valuable opportunity for them to expand their impact, collaborate globally, and develop as a changemaker.
