United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: NEER - Nurturing Earth's Essential Resources

WHAT IS PROJECT NEER ??
NEER- Nurturing Earth's Essential Resource It is a student led initiative aimed at addressing water conservation, waterborne diseases and lack of awareness around sustainable water use, especially in urban cities like Bengaluru. Despite receiving
significant rainfall, Bengaluru faces rapid groundwater depletion due to unchecked. Urbanization and the loss of traditional water recharge systems. At the same time, waterborne diseases like cholera and typhoid are rising because of poor water quality and Sanitation.

About the Millennium Fellow

Shlok Agrawal is a first-year student of Economics and Public Policy at Jain University with a keen interest in governance, sustainable development, and social impact. Known for his leadership and management skills, he has been actively involved in forums like Model United Nations and the Aarthastra Economics Forum. Shlok has volunteered with NGOs including the Robin Hood Army and CRY, contributing to causes like education and community welfare. With a background in PCM and a strong academic curiosity, he continues to sharpen his communication skills while building experience across diverse fields.
