" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will connect me with like-minded peers, foster meaningful collaboration, and equip me with the skills to reduce inequalities and advance education accessibility for more communities. I truly feel blessed to have this opportunity to be able to advance my goals in creating a brighter future for the world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Library Tutorial

Youth Library Tutorial (YLT) is a student organization led by Millennium Fellow Yiyang Gao. YLT is dedicated to providing free walk-in weekend tutoring to K-12 students around Baltimore, United States. YLT’s mission is to assist students on reasoning through problems critically and thinking independently. This is accomplished through adopting individualized teaching methods as well as providing a comfortable space to ask questions and complete school assignments. During the Millennium Fellowship period, YLT will host a minimum of 14 events in physical and online (Zoom) settings. These sessions will be one-on-one tutoring sessions. We are aiming to help at least 80 students across the Millennium Fellowship period.
