" Digital inclusion and equity lie at the core of my passion to ensure no brain in the marginalized communities is left behind in the digital age. I believe that true empowerment requires more than technical solutions; it calls for leadership that uplifts and mentorship that inspires. The Millennium Fellowship excites me as a unique platform to grow in these areas and to co-create inclusive solutions with like-minded peers, bridging digital divides and shaping a more equitable future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Digital Equity - Kenya
Digital Equity Kenya is a community-driven initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide and promoting equal access to technology across Kenya. It seeks to empower individuals, especially those in rural and marginalized areas, with the digital skills and awareness they need to thrive in the current digital era. Through community outreach initiatives, school partnerships, and public awareness campaigns, the project makes a focus on fostering digital literacy, responsible technology use, and innovation especially with regard to the not so exposed rural based populations. The project seeks to create both physical and virtual spaces where people can learn, connect, and explore the opportunities that technology offers for education, employment, and personal growth. My main vision , ultimately, is about ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital age and that every Kenyan, regardless of background, has the opportunity to fully participate in and benefit from technological advancement.
