Millennium Fellowship Project: Drug De-addiction (The Path to Recovery)
This project focuses on the issue of drug addiction and the journey of de-addiction as a path toward recovery and a healthier life. It highlights the causes of addiction, its harmful effects on physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being, and the challenges faced by individuals and families. The project also explains the importance of awareness, counseling, medical treatment, rehabilitation centers, and family support in overcoming addiction. Through this study, the project aims to spread awareness, remove social stigma, and encourage affected individuals to seek timely help and begin their journey toward a drug-free life.
About the Millennium Fellow
Owais Akbar Lone is bright,young and globally competitive pre-law student at University Of Kashmir. He was born in little village namely Radbugha of UT of Jammu and Kashmir in India and is currently studying in University of Kashmir .Owais Akbar has always been passionate about his advocacies for promoting,drug de addiction ,and awareness regarding elimination of menace of substance abuse . Throughout his high school years as a student secretary and currently in his university years ,he has successfully organised and participated in various awareness programs and campaigns related to drug de-addiction and also provided counselling to so many people to recover from this menace , which through his outstanding leadership,he plans to continue in future. Owais Akbar aspires to be in a professional field where he can cultivate these advocacies further , and provide his own contribution in the development of United Nations 's sustainable goals
