" I am excited to join the Millennium Fellowship because it empowers me to translate my passion for men's mental health into meaningful action, equipping me with leadership skills and a global network to drive sustainable impact. I do this work because i believe every person deserves mental care and empathy especially those who have always been told they must be 'strong' always. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mawazo Twajali Initiative

Mawazo Twajali Initiative will help create a safe space where as students we can get to meet weekly and just get to discuss issues that we are facing at an individual basis. We will be able to advocate and invite other students to join us and discuss issues that are affecting us and come up with solutions. It will be a space where we can get to listen without judging and help each other.we will get to organize mental health awareness events at school and beyond ,around the community and promote awareness of effects of mental health. We also hoping to start visiting high schools and other universities and just create that safe space to talk about issues concerning mental health. We will be able to work with psychologists and school peer counsellors to reach to as many students as we can, through the help of social media platforms and even posters on mental health issues. The goal will be to reduce stigma and encourage those struggling that they are not alone and that they can be helped and by so doing we will reduce seclusion improving mental health.
