Mental Health Focus Areas for Ages 15-35
This age group faces unique pressures related to education, career, social life, and identity. Here are some specific areas to consider focusing on for your project:
* Digital Well-being and Social Media Impact: This is a major factor for this age group. You could focus on topics like managing screen time, dealing with social media comparison and "highlight reels," and fostering positive online interactions.
* Academic and Career Pressure: Many in this age range are navigating school, exams, and the competitive job market. Your project could address stress management, dealing with impostor syndrome, and balancing ambition with self-care.
* Financial Stress: The burden of student loans, finding a stable job, and managing personal finances can have a significant impact on mental health. You could explore resources for financial literacy and stress reduction.
* Loneliness and Social Connection: Despite being more "connected" than any previous generation, many young people report feeling isolated. Your project could focus on building authentic relationships, finding community, and recognizing the difference between online and in-person connection.
* Stigma and Access to Resources: Many still feel a stigma around discussing mental health or seeking professional help. You could focus on campaigns that destigmatize mental illness and provide clear, accessible information on where to find help.
