" I am excited about the Millennium Fellowship because my work and experience directly align with its core goals of student leadership for social impact and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).My involvement as a policy case study intern with the KCMC-Cornell Global and Public Health Initiative, where I investigated climate change and its impact on infectious diseases like Malaria, Dengue, and Schistosomiasis, directly contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 13: Climate Action. My efforts in developing actionable policy recommendations reflect a proactive approach to addressing these critical global challenges.As the Chairperson of the standing committee on public health (SCOPH) and a youth ambassador for ActallianceTanzania Forum/Working the Giant (WTG) initiative, I have developed strong skills in leadership, community engagement, and advocacy. My participation in the GBV intensive course and activism, diabetes day outreach, and media advocacy on hepatitis day demonstrates my commitment to public health and social justice.The Millennium Fellowship's mission to convene, challenge, and celebrate student leaders resonates with me. My extensive involvement in conferences, community outreach, and various ambassadorships highlights my dedication to leveraging my academic knowledge and skills to make a tangible, positive impact on my community and beyond.
