Millennium Fellowship Project: W.A.S.T.E
W.A.S.T.E is a project that promotes waste awareness in the Dandora community. The project teaches people how to sort waste, reduce waste, and create income from simple recycling activities. The project shares practical steps for clean collection points and safe handling. The goal is to improve local health, reduce dumping, and support small economic activities through better waste practices.
About the Millennium Fellow
Christian Makhuyi Muruli is a motivated, intelligent, and aspirational student at Kenyatta University who is studying environmental planning and management. He was born in the rural and scenic region of Kakamega, Kenya. Since he is a direct victim of sustainability, Makhuyi is very concerned about it. He saw his natural childhood memories of the Kakamega Forest turn into a pipe dream due to extensive forest degradation. He has been dedicated to promoting sustainability ever since. He also hopes to be a member of the outstanding group that transforms the community of sustainable development.
