Millennium Fellowship Project: Kijanihub.org
KijaniHub is a digital platform and community initiative designed to track biodiversity, report environmental issues, access climate information, and promote sustainable practices. It integrates GIS mapping, AI tools, environmental education, and community engagement to address real environmental challenges.
The project serves youth and university students interested in climate action, local communities facing climate risks, schools and teachers in environmental education, smallholder farmers needing accessible agricultural data, community-based organizations and youth groups seeking digital tools, and local governments requiring real-time environmental insights for planning and response.
During the Millennium Fellowship, KijaniHub made significant progress, successfully developing and testing a functional prototype of its biodiversity and environmental reporting platform, including an interactive map, user reporting interface, and basic AI features, achieving the goal of launching a working demo.
