" Creative thinking, teamwork, communication, and hard work are among the skills that I'm expecting to develop through the Millennium Fellowship, and I believe they will take me further once I master them when I start working with people and the community in the near future. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Learning Hub

The Learning Hub for Youth is an education empowerment initiative that strengthens foundational learning, digital literacy, and leadership among young people. It addresses challenges such as low academic performance, limited motivation, and poor access to technology-based learning. Through after-school tutoring, English reinforcement, and computer training, the hub equips students with essential 21st-century skills for success. It fosters a supportive environment where youth build confidence, improve problem-solving abilities, and prepare for higher education and future employment, inspiring them to embrace lifelong learning and become empowered contributors to their communities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Eric Nshimiyimana Mwarabu, a student at Kepler College currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a concentration in Logistics and Operations, is a young boy dreaming of having a bigger impact on his community. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and currently living in Rwanda as a refugee, he is dreaming of changing the narratives that some people have about refugees through hard work and continuous learning, as well as building projects that will impact everyone around and make people realize how everyone, including refugees, can positively impact the world.
