United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

" My key aspiration us a young leader is to gain more tactics and knowledge on how to interact and improve social and community general mind thoughts and physicality and also be able to inspire many leaders through the mentorship programmes in MCN many leaders who I can access but can't access these programme, I also want to be a key community project initiator and accomplish a lot by creating employment to many by adapting to MCN and UN goals "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The New Dawn
The New Dawn is a multifaceted community development initiative aimed at creating economic opportunities and social impact around Kisii campus and beyond. The project targets men and women aged 15–60 and focuses on five key areas:
1. Building a marketing website for farmers to advertise and sell their produce, starting locally and expanding nationwide.
2. Establishing a ranch with diverse domesticated animals to provide employment and engage community members in various roles.
3. Launching a community printing press offering affordable printing, photocopying, binding, and stationery services for students and locals.
4. Developing a music school and app featuring worship hymnals and training to improve musical skills and listening experiences.
Overall, The New Dawn seeks to promote entrepreneurship, skills development, and cultural enrichment while creating jobs and strengthening the local economy.
About the Millennium Fellow
Kennedy Peter Marwa is a powerful focus driven computer science student at the Kisii university in Kenya. Peter comes from a family of four where he is the second born and therefore serves us a leader from his home directly and us a role model to the younger siblings. Peter has been a social worker and a public servant in the various positions he has served us a high school captain and a class representative in campus , Peter has been fighting the problem of unemployment within his village and school by providing work to the few people in his local and also connection projects like working in sites , peter is ready to work with MCN in order to realize the great goals
