Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Change Mitigation in Agriculture
This project focuses on climate change mitigation in the agriculture industry, with a specific emphasis on livestock production. An Android mobile app has been developed to facilitate smooth project operations. The initiative serves farmers, students, and both government and private institutions. It has successfully exceeded its initial goals, providing an effective roadmap for promoting sustainable agricultural practices and reducing the environmental impact of livestock production.
About the Millennium Fellow
Policarp Ochieng Orenda is a passionate and ambitious animal scientist with a keen interest in research, agriculture, and community development. He was born in Kenya and resides mostly in Kisii -Kenya & Kajiado- Kenya .He studies at Kisii University Kenya where he is doing a degree in Animal Science & Technology.Known for his curiosity and precision, Policarp actively seeks knowledge, values clarity and enjoys exploring both practical and theoretical aspects of Agriculture Industry. His work often bridges education and real-world opportunities, empowering youth and promoting sustainable practices with focus in SDGs . Beyond his professional drive, he embraces creativity and lighthearted exploration, blending science with a touch of humor. Determined and visionary, he approaches every challenge as an opportunity to learn, grow and make a meaningful impact.
