United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Care 360: Mind and Body Initiative

This project is about educating young girls in underprivileged junior high schools on their menstrual cycles, how to calculate for them, how to manage themselves when they have their periods(menstrual hygiene), how to manage the various changes in their bodies associated with the cycle especially the pain, and also give them free sanitary products and snacks.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ama Achiaa Acheampong is a calm, bright and brilliant young medical student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She was born in the United Kingdom, resides in Ghana and is currently studying in Ghana as well. For as long as she could remember, Ama Achiaa has always been passionate about leadership, health and health education. This drive was born from Ama's experiences with running and serving in diverse portfolios and dedicating her time and social media for health advocacy. Throughout her high school years and current university years, she has participated in many successful health and health education outreaches ,helped organise some herself and advocate for good health practices. She plans to do even more in the future as her career as a medical doctor unfolds. Ama aspires to be a multifaceted doctor who is committed to making a meaningful impact wherever she finds herself.
