United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: PROJECT RED

PROJECT RED is a youth-centered outreach project aimed at addressing tramadol
abuse among Ghanaian youth. The initiative focuses on education, awareness
campaigns, and community engagement to empower young people with knowledge
and healthier alternatives while reducing stigma around seeking help.
Measurable Goals (August–December 2025):
Reach at least 1,000 youth through school and community sensitization programs.
Host major awareness campaigns in partnership with local organizations and health
professionals.
Train 50 peer educators to serve as ambassadors against tramadol abuse.
Develop and distribute 500 educational materials (flyers, posters, and digital content).
Establish a baseline and follow-up survey to measure shifts in awareness and attitudes
toward tramadol use.

About the Millennium Fellow

Evelyn Boateng is a a smart, proactive young nursing student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She was born in the Ashanti region of Ghana and resides in the Greater Accra region of Ghana and is currently schooling in KNUST, Ghana.It has always been Evelyn’s passion to create change in any environment she finds herself so far as it’s needed. She has exceptional leadership skills and a very good public speaking skill so reaching out to others on educational projects has always been successful for her.
Throughout her Junior high and Senior high school years, Evelyn always became a leader where she used her position to educate fellow young ladies on how necessary it is to become great women in the future. Evelyn aspires to be in a professional field where she can be the voice of young ladies with brighter futures and to also impact and inspire others and to further provide her assistance and support in the United Nation’s sustainable goals.
