Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Open Book

This project was inspired by the great work the
last group of Millennium Fellows did on our
campus. For our project, we want to focus on two
main things: giving more people access to
education and supporting gender equality.
Basically, we want to help more young girls in
our community get education
We’re planning to go on outreach visits where
we’ll give out books and writing materials to
students who need them, both girls and boys.
But we really want to make sure girls aren’t left
behind, because we’i've seen that many still don’t
get the support they need to stay in school.
We also want to go to busy places like markets
to talk to parents, especially mums and dads of
school-age girls. We’ll have simple conversations
about why educating girls is so important, not just
for the girls themselves but for their families too.
The idea is to connect with people, listen to
them, and share useful resources that could help
them support their children’s education
