" “I have always been deeply concerned by the unequal representation of females in the educational system and often wondered how I could help close that gap. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I can inspire and empower young girls by showing them the value of education and advocating for equal opportunities for every child. There is so much untapped potential within these children, potential they may not yet see in themselves. With the skills and resources I gain, I am excited to reach more of them, help them discover their abilities, and encourage them to dream bigger.” "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Open Book

This project was inspired by the insights gained from our last group of Millennium followers. It focuses on expanding access to education and promoting gender equality—not just in practice, but in mindset as well. Although we are progressing as a nation, the number of girls who attend school remains significantly lower than that of boys. That’s why this project places a strong emphasis on supporting female education. Our initiative aims to provide reading materials and educational equipment to children of all genders in the communities we visit. Additionally, we plan to visit public spaces such as markets to engage with parents—encouraging them to enroll their children in school and to motivate those already enrolled to stay in school. We will also have conversations with parents about gender equality, equipping them to pass on these values to their children. Ultimately, the goal is to connect with both adults and children, listen to their perspectives, and provide enlightenment on key issues—especially education and gender equality.
