" “I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the platform to merge my passion for technology with social impact, creating solutions that not only innovate but also empower communities for a sustainable future.” "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Overflow Ends With Us
Our project, "Overflow Ends with Us", aims to improve waste management in public spaces by introducing smart bins with sensors that detect when they are full and automatically notify the authorities for timely clearance. In addition, citizens will have the option to report issues such as overflowing bins, malfunctioning lids, or other concerns through a simple feedback system. To make waste disposal more convenient, the project will also include a feature that helps people locate the nearest available dustbin. Together, these measures will ensure cleaner surroundings, reduce overflow, and create a healthier community environment.
