" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to transform my vision of equitable education into meaningful action. I am certain that, when young people are empowered with guidance and resources, they not only build brighter futures for themselves but also become catalysts of change for their communities. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Overflow Ends With Us

Our project, "Overflow Ends with Us", aims to improve waste management in public spaces by introducing smart bins with sensors that detect when they are full and automatically notify the authorities for timely clearance. In addition, citizens will have the option to report issues such as overflowing bins, malfunctioning lids, or other concerns through a simple feedback system. To make waste disposal more convenient, the project will also include a feature that helps people locate the nearest available dustbin. Together, these measures will ensure cleaner surroundings, reduce overflow, and create a healthier community environment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Malavika Prabil believes that every student has the right to quality education and guidance to pursue their aspirations. Having grown up with access to the resources and mentorship that shaped her journey, she recognizes the privileged and responsibility of giving back to the society.
Motivated by the lack of opportunities many young minds face, she is dedicated to providing career guidance, mentorship, and hope to underprivileged students. With the belief that empowered learners will one day uplift others, Malavika works to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals through inclusive education and community impact.
