Millennium Fellowship Project: Psychosocial Support for Pregnant Adolescents
Big Sister Initiative is a project focused on promoting mental health and providing psychosocial support to girls experiencing unexpected pregnancies. Targeting girls aged 15 to 24, many of whom are in school, the initiative creates safe spaces and connects them with volunteers acting as “big sisters” to offer guidance and support. A key accomplishment is the partnership with Youth Net and Counseling, allowing access to their toll-free hotline to provide professional mental health support and resources for vulnerable girls.
