United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Girl Empowerment

The “Girl Empowerment” project is dedicated to nurturing the potential of young girls and women by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in all aspects of life. The initiative focuses on education, mentorship, leadership development, and life skills training to enable girls to overcome social, economic, and cultural barriers.
Through workshops, seminars, and community engagement activities, the project aims to:
Promote self-confidence, self-esteem, and resilience among girls.
Encourage academic excellence and career development in diverse fields, including science, technology, and entrepreneurship.
Provide mentorship and guidance from accomplished women role models.
Raise awareness about rights, gender equality, and health issues affecting girls.
Empower girls to make informed decisions and become active contributors to their communities

About the Millennium Fellow

TrinitasKuluwemba is a dedicated medical student committed to advancing girls’ education and empowering women, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds. She is passionate about supporting individuals who struggle to afford school fees, educational materials, and other essential resources. Through motivation, mentorship, and access to opportunities, she aims to inspire young women to grow into confident, capable individuals who can positively impact their communities and, in turn, help others. Trinitas ’s vision is to create a ripple effect of empowerment, ensuring that education and self-development reach even the most underserved areas.
