Millennium Fellowship Project: Turning Waste to Wealth
This project focuses on preventing environmental degradation and improving environmental sustainability to benefit citizens, livestock, plants, and other natural resources. It promotes effective waste management within local surroundings by transforming waste into valuable resources. As part of the initiative, cartons were reused and recycled by converting them into functional laundry bags. Guided by the theme “Waste to Wealth: Building the Bridge Between Per Capita Income and Sustainable Development,” the project demonstrates how sustainable practices can create environmental and economic value simultaneously.
About the Millennium Fellow
Noimot Jimoh is a student of Economics and development studies, Kwara state University.She was born in Lagos State Nigeria , She is still an undergraduate who will be graduating by 2026 She is a girl who loves to make her surroundings a lively and a liveable place for her and the people around her, She is a Student leader who served as the director of student welfare at her faculty (Faculty of management and social sciences) and currently the social director of her faculty. Noimot is a SHE (Stemma Hands-on Empowerment) ambassador, who looks out for female child, She makes them aware that their value are worth more than they thought it is worth. She loves to make her presence impactful, she learns from the people in her environment and contribute to her environment .
