" I believe that through the Millennium Fellowship, I will gain inspiration, mentorship, and the opportunity to be part of a community of like-minded individuals. For me, this is not only a chance to strengthen my capacity to make a difference, but also a platform to serve, lead, and mentor. Coming from an underserved community has given me a deep understanding of the barriers that young children and teenagers face in unlocking their full potential. This drives my commitment to mentorship and initiatives like the Jasho Trust Initiative, through which I believe young people can create lasting impact in their communities and make the world a better place. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: EMPOWERING GENERATION THROUGH GENDER SENSITIZATION

This project focuses on mentoring high school students in the community.Focusing on gender sensitization and academic excellence. On gender sensitization,we aim to create awareness on gender biases, gender equality, gender based harassment and encourage behavior change to get rid of such discrimination. These students are teenagers and in this time they develop gender attitude hence the right time for reaching out to them. We aim at empowering both boys and girls, helping them understand, encourage them to speak out, challenge any form of discrimination, existing gender roles and biases.Promoting gender equality will influence their perspectives and teaching the consequences of gender discrimination will give them deeper understanding of what gender equality can do. Also aiming at providing counseling to those students who might have been victims of gender discrimination. Under academic excellence,we shall be able to share on the different study tips, endurance during the journey and benefits of academic excellence.Use my own personal education journey to be of motivation to them, how i was able to score an A grade despite being out of school for an entire year and acquire a scholarship. This will rekindle hope in them. We aim at making them understand how gender equality makes conducive study environment and good performance and vice versa.
