Millennium Fellowship Project: Be Hepa and Hyper Aware

BE HEPA AND HYPER AWARE is an independent health-promotion project led by Millennium fellow; Ahmadtijani Animashaun partnered with Sangosanya Alimat .It focuses on increasing awareness, early detection, and prevention of hepatitis and hypertension, two major but often overlooked public-health issues in Nigeria. Through interactive outreach sessions, free screening drives, and social-media campaigns, the project empowers students and local community members to understand risk factors, adopt healthier lifestyles, and seek timely medical care.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), BE HEPA AND HYPER AWARE will:
Organize outreach campaigns on hepatitis and hypertension prevention.
Provide free blood pressure checks and hepatitis B screening
Develop a simple educational toolkit (flyers, infographics, and short videos) that can be shared widely by participants and partner organizations.
By the end of December 2025, the project aims to directly reach 200+ students and community members with accurate information and free screening, and indirectly impact thousands more through online content.
