" A platform where I can get to hone my leadership and creative skills is something I have always looked forward to, and the Millennium Fellowship has offered me the privileged and I am very much excited!
Being someone that has always wanted to bring solutions and impact lives, being a fellow helps me to reach out to people with my project and that is absolutely fulfilling. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Tech4Impact Innovation Workshop

Tech4Impact Innovation Workshop is an independent initiative led by Millennium Fellow Aileru Kayode Favour.
The project is designed to empower medical students of the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM) with essential technical skills—such as software programming, graphic design, and data analysis, while equipping them with the knowledge to apply these competencies towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for global impact.
The initiative focuses particularly on SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
The Tech4Impact Innovation Workshop will be implemented in three phases within the Millennium Fellowship Period (August to December):
1. Onboarding Phase: Selection of over 150 medical students to participate in the program.
2. Training Phase: Participants receive practical training in their chosen technical skill, delivered by experts in relevant fields.
3. Innovation Workshop: A concluding event that brings together innovators and SDG experts to educate participants on integrating technology into sustainable solutions across health, education, innovation, and climate action.
