" Empathy fuels my advocacy and inspires my work. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will deepen this skill through collaboration and shared learning. The knowledge and experiences I gain will strengthen my ability to create safe spaces in schools where mental health is prioritized, making my social impact more tangible and aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs. I am excited to envision new ways of fostering understanding, compassion, and well-being among students. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Cerebral Project

The Cerebral Project is a student-led mental health initiative founded by Rasheed Mariam Owolabi, dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, education, and support among students. The project creates a safe and inclusive space for young people to discuss mental health challenges, access helpful resources, and participate in activities that foster emotional resilience and well-being. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, school outreaches, and peer support sessions, The Cerebral Project empowers students to prioritize their mental health, break the stigma surrounding mental illness, and build a culture of openness and empathy within their communities.
