United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: PEACE EDUCATION

Peace Education is a project focused on teaching children in schools and communities about non-violence, aiming to reduce conflicts and foster more peaceful communities.

The project serves children, helping them understand that they can make peaceful choices, preserve healthy relationships, and positively influence others.

Through active communication and the spread of peace education, the project encourages children to adopt non-violent behaviors and contribute to building safer, more harmonious communities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Falola Taiwo is a cheerful and innovative Peace Studies student at Lagos State University, Nigeria. Raised in Iju Ishaga, her passion for peace education and sustainable peace began early and has shaped her journey. She has taught and mentored children, led impactful trainings, and currently serves as President of the Department of Religions & Peace Studies. As an SDG Campus Ambassador and member of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice, Taiwo is committed to servant leadership and building a more peaceful world through education and advocacy
