United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

" I am thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because this chance may enable me to turn my passion to education, healthcare, and women's rights into real steps. I believe that every students deserve to receive good education and succeed, regardless their background. I want to use this fellowship to help me support youth academically, emotionally, and socially. Through this fellowship, I am hoping I can start some initiatives that empower students to trust themselves and keep putting effort to bright in their communities. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Safe Transition

This project is about training and giving tips for high school students on how to have a smooth transition into college and be successful in it. Emphasis is placed on English proficiency, choosing the right major for you, communication skills, and time- management techniques. Furthermore, common problems that university students face will be tackled.

About the Millennium Fellow

Leen Ghannam is a nursing student at Lebanese American University in Byblos. She was born in Beirut and now lives in Jiyyeh. Her passions include right to education, fair hospitalization, women's rights, and encouraging youth to keep working hard even when life feels bitter.
Leen has received a scholarship to continue her education and gives back by volunteering in different ways and joining clubs in the university to help her grow her leadership skills. In the future, Leen hopes to continue her studies, either by pursuing medicine or master's degree in nursing. Also, one day, she will create her own organization that offers financial and emotional support for students in the university. Her dream is to help students believe in themselves, be strong in hardships, and never give up their goals.
