United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

" From lab to table is a project aimed at creating actionable solutions to food wastage through translating complex food research.
This project was inspired out of the need to curb food waste caused by inadequate preservation methods.
Food insecurity may not always be unavailability of food but inadequate optimization of available foods.
From Lab to Table aims to tackle food insecurity through actualizing research made on food preservation and processing. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: From Lab to Table

From Lab to table is an initiative that brings food research to layman people, it ensures research reach the grassroots, it brings research most especially in food processing and preservation to food entrepreneurs, small business owners, and small and medium enterprises.
It ensures research doesn't sit on shelves but are actually actualized.

About the Millennium Fellow

Bello Aishah is a curious Nutrition and Dietetics student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. Born and raised in Nigeria, she has experienced the richness of the country’s agriculture and the realities of food waste caused by inadequate preservation methods.
This experience inspired the idea of creating From Lab to Table, a project dedicated to turning complex food research into actionable solutions.
Aishah envisions a future where research findings are not left on academic shelves but are actualized and commercialized.
