ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: BUILD (Bringing Understanding for Life Long Development)

The BUILD project is designed for sustainability beyond the Fellowship term. We have successfully completed the initial high-impact outreach and assessment phase (Katangua PHC, October 2025). The project is now transitioning into its long-term Sustainability and Education Phase, focusing on embedding nutritional knowledge deep within the community structure.
Key Ongoing Activities:
School Nutrition Clubs: Establishing the first two Nutrition Clubs in secondary schools in Ogbomosho to create a self-sustaining peer-to-peer advocacy and education network.
Follow-up & Expansion: Scheduling follow-up visits to the initial mothers reached and expanding the outreach sessions to additional PHCs in the Ogbomosho area.

About the Millennium Fellow

Igolukumo Ebimobere Ruth is a brilliant, young girl in her early 20s, She's a 4th year student of ladoke Akintola University of Technology studying Nutrition and Dietetics. She was born in Nigeria and resides in Lagos. Ruth is a very passionate person who has always cared about people wherever she is and finds ways to help them or support the cause to help them. This can be shown through her volunteer activities, and global program participation focused on development and growth. Throughout her high school years she always participated in programs focused in on growth and was elected president of club programs which started as her ladder to understanding leadership. She has taken various course and joined programs on Sustainable Development Goals and leadership like the AIIDEV AFRICA CAMPUS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM where she was elected as the team lead. She is passionate about contributing actively to the development of the United Nations Sustainable Goals.
