Millennium Fellowship Project: Plastic Action Project
Our project focuses on reducing plastic pollution in Mitundu Community by raising awareness and building practical skills among local residents. Over six months, we will work with community leaders and households to conduct surveys, hold sensitisation meetings, and provide hands-on training on waste sorting, reuse, and safe disposal. We aim to reach at least 500 people, establish local Plastic Action Groups, and empower the community with knowledge and tools to manage plastic waste more sustainably. Through this collaboration between LUANAR students and Mitundu residents, the project seeks to create a cleaner, healthier environment and promote long-term behaviour change.
