" I am driven by a belief that technology, when applied thoughtfully, can bridge gaps in equity, sustainability, and resilience. The Millennium Fellowship offers an unparalleled platform to collaborate with like-minded change makers, refine my ideas, and align my work with the UNAI principles and SDGs. I am excited to amplify the impact of NovaLume and my AI-driven initiatives, creating solutions that hopefully help serve diverse communities worldwide. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: NovaLume
NovaLume is a sustainability-focused initiative designed to close the energy visibility gap in households and small businesses. Using a non-intrusive plug-in device paired with a mobile application, NovaLume provides real-time energy monitoring, personalized recommendations, and behavior-driven insights that help users understand and reduce their electricity consumption.
The project also includes a consultancy model for MSMEs, offering detailed energy audits, anomaly detection, and monthly optimization strategies through a centralized monitoring dashboard. Alongside the technology, NovaLume conducts energy-literacy workshops and awareness sessions to help communities better understand their consumption patterns and adopt long-term sustainable habits.
The goal is to make energy usage actionable, accessible, and equitable—empowering people to reduce waste, save costs, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
