Millennium Fellowship Project: Thamini Dada
Thamini Dada Standing Together to Reduce GBV on Campuses Thamini Dada is a project rooted at Maseno University to reduce cases of gender-based violence on campus. We believe every student deserves to feel safe, heard, and respected. Our mission is to bring awareness, support, and change—not just within Maseno but also among neighboring universities. Together, we can build campuses free of fear and full of respect.
About the Millennium Fellow
Selline Arshlen Ondiek is a dedicated public health student at Maseno University with a strong foundation in epidemiology, health behaviors, infection control, digital skills, and communicable diseases, with a focus on preventing and controlling diseases and promoting overall community health. Born in Mombasa, Kenya, she is currently studying in Kisumu County. Her commitment to lifelong learning and mentorship of young high school students has earned her recognition and respect among her peers. Selline is passionate about advocating for women's rights, social justice, and empowering young high school students, especially girls, through mentorship, which has led to successful mentorship sessions in secondary schools. She aspires to be a change maker in her community and a leader in ensuring that the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on gender equality and education becomes a reality.
