Mount Kenya University | Thika, Kenya | Advancing SDG 10, SDG 16 & UNAI 3

" I believe change starts with awareness and action. As a Millennium Fellow, I'm excited to amplify conversations around mental health and use technology to connect, educate, and inspire my community toward a healthier, more inclusive future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Minds
Green Minds: Eco-Wellness Through Tech is a student-led initiative at Mount Kenya University – Thika Campus that integrates mental health awareness with environmental action using technology. The project engages students and community members in activities such as tree planting, nature walks, clean-ups, and community gardening, while a digital platform supports the initiative by offering eco-wellness tips, tracking participation, and hosting virtual challenges that promote both climate action and emotional well-being.
Green Minds advances SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land), and embodies UNAI Principle 2: Capacity Building by empowering youth to become environmentally conscious and mentally resilient. Scheduled for launch on December 12, 2025, the project combines nature-based activities with user-centered digital innovation to inspire healthier minds and a healthier planet.
