" Passionate, driven, and community-focused, I aim to use the Millennium Fellowship to apply my Community Development expertise and leadership in raising sexual and reproductive health awareness among young people and fostering lasting, inclusive change. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Generation Aware

Generation Aware is a youth-led initiative focused on breaking the stigma and silence surrounding sexual and reproductive health (SRH) among adolescents and young adults. Inspired by personal experiences of growing up with limited SRH information and taboo discussions, the project creates safe, judgement-free spaces where young people can openly ask questions and access accurate, age-appropriate guidance.
Using peer-to-peer conversations, small group discussions, and digital platforms, Generation Aware empowers youth with essential knowledge on menstruation, consent, contraceptives, relationships, and overall well-being. The initiative also links young people to trained health specialists, ensuring they receive reliable support when needed.
By normalizing SRH dialogue and correcting common myths, the project fosters a more confident, informed, and healthy generation—one that embraces SRH education as a right, not a taboo.
