" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it provides a platform to turn ideas into impact, connect with like-minded change makers, and address pressing health challenges and issues in my community and beyond. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Gender-based Violence Awareness

I want to help mothers and women facing Gender based violence find a voice and help they need to get over it. GBV is rampant in Africa and Kenya to be specific. We have communities still believing that beating their women is a sign of strength. I want to debunk that. My project will be a research to understand what women face matters GBV, what causes it and possible interventions they would want to have. Thereafter link to them to institutions that offer the help they need.
