" I believe meaningful impact doesn't have to wait—every small action holds the power to change someone’s life. Being selected as a Millennium Fellow is a beautiful gift that allows me to extend my reach in the world, uplift others, and contribute to lasting changes in the world "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Hopehelps
My project is called the mental health impact, and it will be at multiple middle and high schools in our area. This program will provide a positive environment where students can come after school to decompress from the daily stress. It also will offer self-care education, so kids will learn and practice how to relieve their own stress and enhance their mental health. I envision students enjoying being there, which will hopefully inspire them to talk to other students, which would spread the word and help this program thrive!
About the Millennium Fellow
Katelynn Hazeltine is a senior at Moravian University studying psychology. Through her time at moravian Katelynn has always demonstrated a strong passion for serving others and making a positive impact on her community. Mental health has been a deeply personal and significant topic for Katelynn from a young age. At just 14 years old, she joined her local fire company, and through responding to emergency calls, she gained firsthand insight into the struggles many individuals face with mental health. This experience further implemented her commitment to helping those in need. Through her project, Katelynn aims to educate others and create a safe, supportive space for individuals in the Bethlehem community who struggle with mental health.
