" My efforts as a writer, student, librarian, and teacher are all driven by the same want for a brighter, kinder, and more equitable future. Being a part of Moravian University’s Millennium Fellowship cohort will provide me with the resources and community I need to inspire such lasting, positive change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Menstrual Equity Initiative
The Menstrual Equity Initiative is a community-led effort to alleviate period poverty in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. The initiative coordinates donation drop-off locations in community spaces, such as public libraries, where community members may donate products to the initiative. We will then use these donations to supply participating community spaces, such as public schools, with free menstrual hygiene products. This season, the Menstrual Equity Initiative collected donations for Freedom High School, Liberty High School, and Northeast Middle School. Donations were collected at drop-off locations in the Bethlehem area, including: Moravian University’s Center for Inclusive Excellence, Lehigh University’s Gender, Leadership, and Empowerment Office, and the north branch of Bethlehem Area Public Library.
