" What matters the most for me, is to bring a change. A change in the way my local communities are impacted, a change in the way the people are impacted. And to do this, Millennium Fellowship is the path to embrace. From leadership to empowerment, I want to learn from all those before me and make the best use of their wisdom! Hence the endless possibilities of what this fellowship offers to me is what makes me feel excited! "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Udaan

Millions die annually from vaccine-preventable diseases due to lack of access, awareness, and fear of side effects. My project addresses these issues in three phases. Phase One: Focuses on building a foundation by gathering vaccine data, creating awareness materials in local languages ( Short Films, Poster's), and identifying target villages. We aim to collaborate with government bodies or corporations to ensure the affordable supply of vaccines. Phase Two: Involves engaging with communities to understand their perspectives. We will organize public meetings where experts can dispel myths about vaccinations and provide resources. Additionally, student volunteers will offer personalised support to families, addressing their concerns and questions. This phase also includes providing a vaccination chart to the families to keep track of their vaccinations and upcoming vaccinations in case of a child. The primary purpose of this phase is to eliminate myths and foster a sense of responsibility about immunization. Phase Three: Measures the campaign's impact by comparing vaccination rates and collecting feedback from volunteers. If successful, we plan to expand to another village while monitoring progress every six months. Through this structured approach, we aim to reduce vaccine-preventable deaths by overcoming barriers to vaccination.
