Millennium Fellowship Project: HUSKY: Overcoming Poverty in Tanzania

HUSKY(hustle Skype) is a digital platform (mobile app + website) designed to tackle poverty and unemployment in Tanzania by connecting entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and job seekers. Many people struggle to find economic opportunities, while others lack knowledge about available jobs or business funding. Through HUSKY, entrepreneurs can upload videos showcasing their businesses, investors and sponsors can discover promising ventures, and professionals can provide mentorship. The platform also includes forums for networking, educational resources, and a database of investment opportunities. By leveraging Tanzania’s increasing smartphone and internet penetration, HUSKY aims to bridge economic gaps, expose people to new opportunities, and empower communities with the right tools to overcome unemployment and financial struggles.
