" I come from Malawi. And everyone in our nation believes that we are beyond saving. I do not believe that. I believe we can grow and do better, but we just have not taken advantage of the resources we have. I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will give me a chance to learn how best to educate people in Malawi in various sectors, and also grant me leadership skills that would help me lead my nation to growth. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Empowerment Project

The project was set to encourage students in secondary schools in our community to remind them of the value of education, but also motivate them to continue pursuing their studies. We would give them tips on how to succeed in school, but also given them direction on their road to further studies.

About the Millennium Fellow

Chiposa Chiomba is an interesting young lady who is currently in her third year, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology. She has a heart for teaching and helping people in her nation grow. She wants people to break out of their shells, especially youth, and grow in their calling and purpose. She loves writing and expressing herself in ways that can encourage other people to grow. She also loves spending time with people and talking to people. She believes everyone deserves a chance to express themselves, because everyone has something to try. When Chiposa gets an idea, she wants to try it out. She doesn't want it to just be a thought. Even if it doesn't work out, she finds a way to make it work. She is learning to work with people each everyday.
