Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Empowerment Project
The project was set to encourage students in secondary schools in our community to remind them of the value of education, but also motivate them to continue pursuing their studies. We would give them tips on how to succeed in school, but also given them direction on their road to further studies.
About the Millennium Fellow
Jessy Mkanda is a dedicated and ambitious student at the Malawi university of science and Technology in Malawi. Passionate about education, innovation and community development,she aspires to contribute solutions to social, cultural and economic challenges in her county. Jessy has a strong interest in sustainable development and intellectual property believing they are key drivers for Malawi's progress. Her commitment to personal growth and community empowerment reflects her vision of making a positive impact locally and globally. Throughout her high school years and into her university studies, Jessy has actively participated in community initiatives, advocating for youth empowerment, education access and gender equality. With strong leadership skills, she aspires to work in professional field that advances the united nations sustainable development goals and creates positive change for Malawi and beyond.
