Millennium Fellowship Project: Waste Management Initiative at Chinese Camp Hostel
This project is primarily focused on waste management. Observing poor waste disposal in our nearby community, Chinese Camp Hostel, we decided to take the initiative to make a difference, especially on days when hired cleaners were not available. The target audience is fellow students residing in the hostel. The project accomplished better waste management practices on campus, improved the sanitation and health of the hostel, and filled the gap when cleaners were unavailable. The initiative also promoted the spirit of maintaining a clean environment through the actions of the project.
About the Millennium Fellow
Patience Esther Chipsagule is a young , vibrant young lady passionate about bringing change in the world. She is currently in her second year , studying Biomedical Engineering at Malawi University of Science and Technology . She was born in Lilongwe , Malawi and also currently living in Malawi . Patience has always been vibrant , bold and courageous, strong young person who is determined to rise and help her fellows rise as well in order to foster change in the world especially in sectors of innovations, girl child advocacy and climate adaptation and resilience. She has ever taken over the offices if the CEO for Mhub, minister of labour as well as the highest office of the president of the republic of Malawi during the Plan International Girls Takeover programs . She has also attended the On-Demand Youths leadership Program in the US focusing on Climate adaptation and resilience. Patience is one girl you can trust and rely on when you want things done excellently and on time
